Reflection: Educational Technology 2
“Technology cannot replace a good teacher, yet a good teacher uses
technology”
My
journey in Educational Technology 2 helps me to open and understand the 21st
century generation most especially the 21st century learners, 21st
century classroom and let me learn how to become a 21st century
teacher.
I have
learned that there are many important factors to be considered in the present
generation. Before, teaching is just about feeding information to the learners
but nowadays it must be the teacher integrate computer in the in the class. The
teacher must provide activities that could make learners to discover learning
by letting them experience the things that they must learned and it will become
possible through the use of technology. In the 21st century classroom the
teacher must facilitate the class properly to have an interactive class and
must make sure that student uses technology in learning not just in doing
unnecessary things.
More
so, in educational technology 2, I have learned the computer applications that
could be one of the best tools in learning process. This subject gives me an
idea on how to become creative in making presentations by using PowerPoint
wherein I can have text, images and videos in one presentation. It helps me to
let my learners visualize the concept that I am tackling to them. Educational Technology 2 also gives an
opportunity to me to learn about Sony Vegas where in I could make use videos,
images and audios to create an extraordinary presentations and the Edmodo
Online class which taught me to mange online class in the near future. Educational technology let me experienced the
technologies as a partner in learning!
